The increasing demands of national development in the health sector are aimed at improving public awareness, willingness, and ability to lead a healthy life in order to achieve optimal health for all. As one of the health professions that supports the realization of optimal health, pharmacists are expected to possess adequate professional competencies through quality and sustainable education programs.

This activity is a crucial step in the process of establishing the Apothecary Professional Study Program (PSPA) at the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University. The discussion, held on November 18, 2024, focused on the establishment of PSPA and involved key stakeholders, particularly the Chairperson of APTFI (Indonesian Association of Pharmacy Higher Education Institutions), Prof. Dr. apt. Yandi Syukri, M.Si, along with UNDIP Faculty of Medicine leadership including Dean Dr. dr. Yan Wisnu Prajoko, M.Kes., Sp.B., Subsp.Onk(K), department heads within the Faculty of Medicine, the Head of Pharmacy Study Program, and all pharmacy faculty members.

   

In the session, Prof. Dr. apt. Yandi Syukri, M.Si delivered a presentation on the Policy for Establishing the Apothecary Professional Study Program, conducted a direct review of supporting facilities and infrastructure, and held a discussion on the integration of the undergraduate pharmacy curriculum with the planned PSPA. He also outlined specific targets that must be achieved for the sustainable development of the program. This event proved highly valuable in preparing for the establishment of the Apothecary Professional Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University.
