From October 28 to November 8, 2024, the Pharmacy Study Program organized the 2024 World Class University Program featuring an Adjunct Professor initiative by inviting Prof. Dr. Alfi Khatib from the Faculty of Pharmacy, International Islamic University Malaysia.
The program included a variety of academic activities such as a studium generale titled “Metabolomics in Pharmacognosy”, a workshop on “Metabolomics Approach for Herbal Researches”, guest lectures on “Multivariate Analysis” and “Pharmacognosy”, and a workshop focused on “Pharmacy Study Program Vision-Mission and Curriculum”. Other engaging sessions included a workshop on “Fractionation and Bioassay Guided Isolation”, a practical workshop titled “Zebrafish in Pharmacognosy Research”, a guest lecture on “Basic Course on NMR Spectroscopy”, and a valuable academic session on “How to Publish in High Impact Journals”. The program concluded with a field trip to CV. Herbal Indo Utama in Magelang, offering participants real-world exposure to herbal product development.
These activities were held at various venues including Buildings H, A, and B at the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP, and were attended by students and faculty members of the Pharmacy Study Program.
Through this program, it is expected that UNDIP, particularly the Pharmacy Study Program, will enhance the quality and quantity of academic performance in the areas of research, teaching, and innovation, while also broadening students’ perspectives through interactions with international academic figures.
