Industrial Visit of the Undergraduate Pharmacy Study Program, Diponegoro University – 2025

The Undergraduate Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University conducted an Industrial Visit as part of its commitment to strengthening students’ insights, knowledge, and practical experience related to the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia. This activity was participated in by supervising lecturers, the Pharmacy Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine (HIMFASI), and students of the Pharmacy Study Program, Diponegoro University.

The industrial visit was carried out in two phases. The first visit took place on 29 August 2025 at PT Otsuka Indonesia and PT Inez Cosmetics in Malang, followed by the second visit on 4 September 2025 at PT Industri Obat dan Jamu Sidomuncul. Through these visits, students gained first-hand understanding of the production processes of CPOB-compliant infusion and injection products, CPKB-standard cosmetic formulation and manufacturing, as well as CPOTB-based traditional herbal medicine production. These learning experiences provided a real illustration of how quality assurance, product safety, and standardized industrial systems are implemented within Indonesia’s pharmaceutical sector.

This activity is expected to serve as a bridge between academic learning and real industrial practice, thereby strengthening students’ competencies, perspectives, and preparedness to enter the pharmaceutical workforce in the future.

The Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University expresses its gratitude to all institutions for the warm welcome and valuable knowledge shared, especially PT Otsuka Indonesia, PT Inez Cosmetics, and PT Industri Obat dan Jamu Sidomuncul. Appreciation is also extended to the supervising lecturers, HIMFASI, and all participating students for their contribution to the success of this program.
