The Pharmacy Study Program organized the Adjunct Professor, World Class University Program for 2024 by inviting Assistant Prof. Muhammad Ajmal Shah, Ph.D. from Hazara University, Mansehra, Pakistan. The program began on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, with a public lecture at the RSGA Hall, 3rd Floor of the A Building, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, on the topic “Natural Products in The Therapy of Diabetes.” The objective of this public lecture was to provide knowledge on the prospects, research trends, and examples of drugs and natural products that can be used in the therapy and treatment of diabetes.

On September 5 and 9, 2024, guest lectures were held at Building A and Building H, Faculty of Medicine, UNDIP, with themes: Pharmacognosy: Types, Methods of Extraction, and Effects of Phytonutrients on The Immune System; Nutraceutical: The Role of Nutraceuticals in The Prevention of Neurodegenerative Diseases; and Molecular Pharmacology in Natural Products.

As part of the Adjunct Professor, World Class University Program for 2024, Assistant Prof. Muhammad Ajmal Shah, Ph.D. also participated in proposal seminars held from September to October 2024 as a reviewer, providing feedback on research topics designed by students. This proposal seminar was conducted for students from the 2021 batch, with specializations in Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Biology, and Pharmacochemistry. Students from the 2022-2023 batches also participated in the event to broaden their research perspectives.

Additionally, a workshop on manuscript clinical writing, green extraction, and enrichment of natural bioactive compounds, as well as review writing, was conducted by Assistant Prof. Muhammad Ajmal Shah, Ph.D., together with faculty members and students. Through this program, the Pharmacy Study Program aims to improve the quality and quantity of academic fields, especially in research, teaching, and innovation, as well as expand the knowledge of students through learning from international faculty.
